The future for solar in Kenya is remarkably bright. Research shows that by 2050, the world’s main source of electricity will likely be a renewable source: the sun. This will, of course, be ahead of other energy sources, namely wind, hydro, nuclear, and fossil fuels. We are also experiencing increasing demands for energy to aid in socioeconomic growth. Energy meets the very basics of human needs, which are lighting, cooking, movement (transportation), and communication, among others. As a result, the use of fossil fuels such as water (hydropower), natural gas, oil, and coal has increased, leading to huge carbon emissions.
Why Change
Change is a difficult thing, but it is unavoidable as we progress through life. Changing how the world is powered is a vital and growing concern that must be addressed by all of us.
Join me today. I am very passionate about renewable energy, specifically solar energy in Kenya. This is because solar energy has a huge potential to offer us abundant, clean, and renewable energy to power our homes and businesses.
The use of solar energy in our everyday lives can mitigate the adverse side effects of climate change. Wondering how? Switching to renewable energy solutions like solar has a direct influence on protecting our natural resources and simultaneously reducing the emission of harmful gases into our atmosphere. The sun’s energy is limitless, unlike that of fossil fuels. We can therefore come to the conclusion that solar energy is not only a cheap and cleaner energy source, but it is also changing the world.
Purpose
My purpose is to change the way your life is powered, and my goal is to make solar your choice of energy solution. I hope to inspire you to enjoy and thrive as we build a more sustainable future together.
This blog is meant to inform, educate, enlighten, inspire change, and facilitate a discussion about solar energy for everyday living with people around the world.
I am here to share the wonderful benefits of the sun, my perspectives, ideas, and aspirations, and at the same time, I would like you to share your perspectives and ideas. When it comes to energy decisions, it literally takes a village, we are in this together.
Solar energy in Kenya has become quite popular in today’s world, and its adoption is increasing. We saw governments and institutions come together last year and agree to play their part in building a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Barack Obama said “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
